A huge shout-out to Micha! 👌 With his excellent work, lots of patience, and a good dose of humor, he explained even tricky situations to me in a relaxed and understandable way – sometimes two or three times until I got it. And if something didn't work out right away, Micha was there to help – usually with a lighthearted joke and then the perfect solution (keyword: falling over 😅✌🏻). The lessons were a lot of fun, and you can tell that Micha doesn't just want you to pass the test, but that you can actually ride a motorcycle safely afterward. A clear recommendation for anyone who wants to get their motorcycle license! 🏍️💨

Driving school in Wanne-Eickel
Since 2024 Fahrschule Kessler has had a branch in Wanne-Eickel. It's at Hermannstraße 3, 44649 Herne – Wanne-Eickel is a district of Herne, and there's a second Herne branch on Sodinger Straße. If you live in Wanne-Eickel, you have a contact for advice and sign-up in your own district.

Classes from B to D
You learn to drive a car in class B, on your own from 18 or with accompanied driving from 17. If you want to tow a trailer, you'll also need class BE (also from 18). Motorcycles come in three stages: A1 at 16, A2 at 18 and A at 24, or as early as 20 after two years of A2. For trucks (C/CE) the minimum age is 21, for buses (D) 24 – with professional driver training 18 and 21. In both cases you must hold class B and bring a medical certificate.
Getting started in three steps
First: take an eye test and attend a first-aid course – that applies to every class. Second: sign up, on Hermannstraße or online. We take care of handing in your papers at the road traffic office. Third: start theory. Lessons take place Monday to Friday at all branches; you'll find the topics in the theory schedule. We then record proof of your theory lessons digitally with TÜV Nord – you don't need to worry about it.

Experience shows that most learner drivers need around 20 to 30 additional driving lessons – some need fewer, others considerably more.
