5 out of 5 starsI can only say positive things. All the driving instructors I met were very nice. It took me almost 10 months to get my B197 license. I initially had a different instructor, but then I was assigned a new one in seconds because my first one was sick and I was getting close to the test. Armen was super nice and always explained everything perfectly and always stayed calm (I wouldn't have been able to stay so calm in his shoes). The last lesson before my practical test was a complete disaster. I somehow couldn't remember anything that had been explained to me up to that point... until it came to parallel parking and I suddenly had a panic attack because I had the test the next day. Armen reacted brilliantly, gave me the time I needed, and let me collect myself before I could continue driving. I was, and still am, embarrassed about it, but it's worth mentioning. :) He also always made sure I could get home by car so I didn't have to take the train. I can only recommend it to everyone, but start saving now, the whole thing wasn't cheap... But the price/performance ratio is excellent.

Driving school in Gelsenkirchen-Erle
Fahrschule Kessler has two branches in Gelsenkirchen: one on Kirchstraße and this one in the Erle district. The Erle branch is at Cranger Straße 258, 45891 Gelsenkirchen. If you live in Erle, you have a place for advice and sign-up right in your own neighbourhood.

Which licence would you like?
For many people it all starts with the class B car licence. You can get it at 18, or at 17 with accompanied driving – and you can already sign up for that at 16½. Where motorcyclists start depends on their age: A1 is possible from 16, A2 from 18, the unrestricted class A from 24 or from 20 after two years of A2. For scooters up to 45 km/h, class AM is enough, from 15.
At Fahrschule Kessler you can also get the C/CE truck licence (from 21) and the D bus licence (from 24); as part of professional driver training the ages are 18 and 21. For these you also need class B and a medical certificate.
Theory, practice and sign-up
An eye test and a first-aid course are part of every class – it's best to take care of them early. Theory lessons take place Monday to Friday at our branches; topics and dates are in the theory schedule. We plan your driving lessons together with you. You can sign up in Erle on site or online, and we take care of handing in your papers at the road traffic office.
